Our Process: From Donation to Distribution
At ReRipped, our goal is to "Share the Hobby" by ensuring every donated card finds the right home—whether that means ending up in the hands of an underprivileged child or helping fund our mission through responsible resale. Here’s how our process works, step by step:
Step 1: Collecting Donations
We receive sports card donations from collectors, businesses, and sports fans across the country. Donations can arrive through:
Mailed Donations – Generous supporters ship us their extra sports cards and supplies. Drop-Off Locations – We partner with local businesses and card shops to accept in-person donations.
Community Drives – We work with schools, youth groups, and organizations to host collection events.
Every donation, big or small, helps us bring the joy of collecting to kids in need!
Step 2: Sorting & Organizing Cards
Once the donations arrive, our team carefully sorts them based on several factors:
Condition – We check for damage and remove any cards that are excessively worn, ripped, or bent.
Type of Cards – We separate sports cards by sport (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, etc.).
Player & Team Variety – We ensure each repackaged pack has a fun mix of teams and players.
High-Value Cards – Any high-value cards are set aside for resale to help fund our operations.
Step 3: Responsible Resale to Fund Our Mission
To keep our initiative running and expand our reach, we responsibly resell high-value cards through:
Online Marketplaces – Selling rare or valuable cards on platforms like eBay or collector sites.
Local Card Shops & Auctions – Partnering with shops that support our cause.
Fundraising Events – Hosting raffles and special sales to raise funds for packaging and distribution.
These funds allow us to buy packaging materials, cover shipping costs, and improve the overall experience for the kids receiving donations.
Step 4: Repackaging for Kids
With the remaining cards, we carefully create fun and exciting repackaged packs. Each pack contains a mix of:

✅ A balanced mix of base cards, inserts, and rookies
We ensure that every child gets a quality experience, just like any young collector would when opening a fresh pack!
Step 5: Distributing to Kids
Once repackaged, the cards are distributed through:
Schools & After-School Programs – Providing cards to kids who may never have had a chance to collect.
Youth Sports Teams & Leagues – Encouraging young athletes to engage with the sports they love.
Community Centers & Charities – Partnering with organizations that serve underprivileged youth.
Holiday & Special Event Giveaways – Spreading joy during special occasions.
